Magical Memories Festival
Where: Resort at Squaw Creek
When: November 24th – January 3rd
Celebrate the coming holiday season with the Resort at Squaw Creek’s 12th Annual Magical Memories Festival. Don’t miss the Gingerbread Village Unveiling and Grand Tree Lighting ceremony on November 25th. The magic continues all through December with family-friendly events, kid-focused activities, food and drink specials, delicious holiday meals and much more! More Information
Northstar Tree Lighting Ceremony
Where: Resort at Squaw Creek
When: November 26th
Northstar California will usher in the spirit of the holidays commencing with the celebratory annual Tree Lighting Ceremony during the weekend after Thanksgiving Day. The tried-and-true family tradition invites guests to The Village at Northstar for kid-friendly activities, s’mores, sleigh rides, holiday music and the piece de resistance – the official lighting of the Holiday Tree. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at 5:15 pm at the Village Ice Skating Rink. More Information
Tahoe City Holiday Hop – Small Business Saturday
Where: Downtown Tahoe City

Kick-off the holiday season in style at the Tahoe City Holiday Hop! Stroll through our local stores and begin your holiday shopping while enjoying wine, snacks, good cheer and festive surroundings at Tahoe City Businesses. Be sure to pick up your Shop Local card for a chance to win some great prizes.
Light Up The Night
Where: The Lodge at Tahoe Donner
When: November 26th
Once you’ve had enough turkey fun on Thursday, get ready for Santa and holiday activities at the annual Tahoe Donner Light Up the Night event at The Lodge Restaurant & Pub on Saturday, Nov. 26 from 5 -7 p.m. Activities include reindeer games, Santa’s arts and crafts workshop, hot chocolate and s’ mores, letters to Santa, storytelling by Mrs. Claus, caroling, photos with Santa (bring your own camera!), an ugly sweater contest and the lighting of the tree,
Northern Lights Festival
Where: The Village at Northstar
When: December 10th
The third annual Northern Lights Festival invites guests to The Village at Northstar, illuminated in celebration of all-things-glow. This tradition welcomes all to a day and evening of light-filled revelry and activities throughout the Village and on the mountain including live music, light-games, glow face painting, balloon twisting, DJs and live music. Kids and kids-at-heart are invited to play throughout The Village and gaze upon the Fireworks Grand Finale. More Information
Merry Days & Holly Nights
Where: Squaw Valley & Alpine Meadows 
When: December 17 – 31
Look for Santa on the slopes, festive cheer in the Village and enjoy skiing and snowboarding with Olympic Gold Medalist Jonny Moseley. In the Village, cozy up around fire pits while you listen to carolers and sip hot cocoa. The Olympic Village Lodge transforms into Merry Wonderland with live music, extraordinary symphonies, ice sculpture demonstrations, and the infamous Squaw Valley Prom. More Information
Noel Nights

When: Every Thursday, December 1st – 22nd
Join Northstar California from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in The Village for one of the most celebrated holiday traditions of the Tahoe region! Noel Nights invites families and friends to partake in classic holiday festivities for the first three weeks in December. During Noel Nights The Village at Northstar transforms into a winter wonderland featuring horse-drawn sleigh rides, complimentary ice skating, s’ mores and hot cocoa by the fire pits, special shopping and dining offers and more.
