This weekend is shaping up to be the ultimate spring skiing extravaganza in Lake Tahoe. With the recent snowfall followed by warm temperatures, the snow is in prime corn condition. To top it off, all of our favorite spring events are taking place at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. This is one weekend not to miss in Lake Tahoe.

Cushing Crossing Where: Squaw Valley When: Saturday, April 12 | 1pm – 3pm The 24th Annual Cushing Crossing is back! Squaw Valley’s acclaimed pond skimming event challenges participants to cross the vast and chilly waters of Cushing Pond on skis, a snowboard or any ski or snowboard-based vessel. The event is known for colossal crashes, hilarious costumes and ultra-creative pond skimming contraptions. Registration is at 9 am at the KT Base Bar and is limited to 50 entrants. Registration fee is $20. |

Squaw Valley Season Pass Party Where: KT Base Bar When: Saturday, April 12 | 12pm – 4pm Squaw Valley will be thanking all season pass holders with a party to remember! To conclude the 2013-14 season, pass holders can enjoy live music by the Nibblers, a $5 taco bar, drink specials and a raffle including GoPros, Oakley gear and more! |

Snow Golf Where: Alpine Meadows When: Saturday, April 12 As the only top-to-bottom snow golf course, this highly anticipated spring event is a unique way to spend a day on the slopes. The nine-hole course starts at the top of Summit Express and meanders its way down the mountain with the last hole ending up at the bottom of the Alpine Bowl Chair. Registration starts at 9 am at the top of the Summit Chair. The event is FREE to all pass holders and day ticket holders. The last tee time will be at 12:30 pm. Awards on the sundeck at 3 pm. |

Spring Music Series Where: Alpine Meadows When: Saturday, April 12 | 1pm – 4pm The Alpine Spring Music Series continues this weekend with Sambada! This afro-funk-Brazillian band always brings skiers and riders to their feet after a day on the slopes. With the sun in the forecast, this high energy band is sure to be a hit on the Alpine Meadows Sundeck this Saturday. |

Alpine Meadows Season Pass Party Where: Top of Summit and Base Lodge When: Monday, April 14 | 5:30 pm Alpine Meadows is making many long-time pass holders very happy with the return of the on-mountain bonfire Season Pass Party! Passholders must sign a release of liability at the Ticket Office any time throughout the day. The party begins at 5:30 pm at the base of Summit Six. Ride the chair to the top for the on-mountain bonfire and then ski down with the group at 7:30 pm (one lap only). Afterward, the Base Lodge will come alive with a DJ, BBQ and many drink specials! |
