There is a lot going on around the region during this festive time of year, see our comprehensive list below of the top North Lake Tahoe holiday events and mark your calendars accordingly!

Downtown Holiday Festival and Bud Fish Tree
Lighting

Where: Downtown Truckee
When: Friday, Nov 18th
Celebrate the Holidays in Historic Downtown Truckee! Enjoy a festive kick-off to the holidays with tree decorating, hot cocoa, holiday songs, photos with Santa and much more! The night culminates in the lighting of the traditional Bud Fish Tree Lighting Ceremony in remembrance of this beloved Truckee community member. More Information

Santa Visits + Tree Lighting Ceremony

Where: The Village at Palisades Tahoe
When: Friday, November 25th, 12pm – 5pm
The most festive winter holidays are just around the corner, and all of this early November snow has us excited for Christmastime. Get into the holiday spirit in The Village at Palisades Tahoe on Friday, November 25th. Enjoy a full afternoon of exciting events and activities that will be great for all ages. Tahoe City Holiday Hop – Small Business Saturday

Where: Downtown Tahoe City
When: November 30th | 12pm – 5pm
Kick off the holiday season in style at the Tahoe City Holiday Hop! Stroll through the local stores and begin your holiday shopping while enjoying wine, snacks, good cheer, and festive surroundings at Tahoe City Businesses.  More Information

Light Up The Night

Where: The Lodge at Tahoe Donner
When: November 26th | 6pm – 7pm
There’s no better way to welcome in winter than with a little magic and merriment. Bundle up in your warmest coat and join your neighbors and friends for Tahoe Donner’s annual tree lighting ceremony. A community classic, the evening’s festivities include musical performances from a local choir, hot cocoa and cider to warm the body and soul, wine and beer for added cheer, and a very special visit from the man himself, Santa Claus! Tickets go on sale November 16th at 9am.   More Information

Farmers + Makers Holiday Block Party

Where: Tahoe Food Hub
When: December 15th, 4pm
The Second Annual Holiday Block Party is Thursday, December 15th from 4-8pm. Mark your calendars and enjoy friends from the Truckee Roundhouse and Sierra Community House for an evening full of holiday cheer, local food, drinks, and crafts! More Information

Noel Nights

Where: Northstar California
When: Dates TBD
Head to The Village at Northstar for one of the most celebrated holiday traditions of the Tahoe region! Noel Nights invites families and friends to partake in classic holiday festivities for the first three weeks in December. During Noel Nights The Village at Northstar transforms into a winter wonderland featuring live music, ice skating, face painting, activities and Santa Clause!  More information

Tahoe Nutcracker 2022

Where:  North Tahoe High School 
When: December 16th, 17th & 18th
