XL Waves Bear Down on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe

As a huge storm system bears down on Northern California and the Lake Tahoe region, high winds from the south are generating powerful swell on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. With wind gusts clocked at of over 100 mph on the Sierra Crest it’s no wonder that Lake Tahoe is seeing 6′ – 8′ waves today in the Carnelian Bay and Tahoe Vista communities. Knowing that this massive swell was bearing down on our community I drove out to Gar-Woods and the Sierra Boat Company Marina to see the powerful swell with my own eyes.
