Chimney Beach and The East Shore of Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe’s Chimney Beach is located along the northeastern Nevada portion of the lake. It’s about a 13-mile drive from the southern state line. Take SR 28 about six miles south of Incline Village. After a short hike down from the highway, Chimney beach will greet you with a vast, sandy beach. Perfect to spend the day with your friends, family, and four-legged friends.
Coon Street Beach | Kings Beach
The Coon Street Boat Launch is located at the end of Coon Street in Kings Beach on Highway 28 and is owned and operated by California State Parks. This public dog-friendly beach includes a boat launch ramp (when lake levels allow), restrooms, and parking for vehicles as well as vehicles with trailers. Coon Street is the only public dog beach in Kings Beach and Tahoe Vista.
Patton Landing | Carnelian Bay
Located in the heart of Carnelian Bay, Patton Landing offers a small rocky beach with lakefront picnic tables, seasonal restrooms, and free parking and a boat launch facility. Bring your water shoes as this beach can be rough on your feet. Conveniently located at this beach is Waterman’s Landing, a beachfront cafe offering fresh food and drinks as well as kayak, paddleboard and canoe rentals. Located next to Patton Landing is Carnelian Beach West, another fido-friendly beach.
64 Acres Beach | Tahoe City
64 Acres Beach is located near downtown Tahoe City and offers access to both the Truckee River and Lake Tahoe. On the river side, there is a paved walkway to the river’s edge to launch your non-motorized canoe, kayak, raft or paddleboard. On the lake side, enjoy picnic tables, public restrooms, and a sandy beach for you and your furry friend to enjoy!
Hurricane Bay | West Shore Lake Tahoe
Dog Beach is located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, approximately four miles down the West Shore from the ‘Y’ at Tahoe City. Known for its deep water, be careful when swimming and watch out for divers!
