Pain McShlonkey Classic
Where:Palisades Tahoe
When: March 23rd
Wax up your snowblades, dress up in your most outrageous ski duds and come out to Palisades Tahoe for a day full of belly laughs, camaraderie and philanthropy in celebration of legendary skier Shane McConkey. The Annual Pain McShlonkey Classic coincides with International Snowblade Day to create an epic day where Shane fans around the world to get involved in this irreverently hilarious day. Tahoe Donner 200-Foot Banana Split Extravaganza
Where: Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort
When: March 23rd, 1:45pm
Kids of all sizes will help devour an incredible 200-foot banana split at 1:45 PM for free! Grab a spoon because this will be one tasty monster at Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area. More Information
The Mothership Classic
Where:Palisades Tahoe
When: March 24th
The Mothership Classic is a pledge-driven event held each Spring on the world’s greatest chairlift, KT-22. Participants begin by gathering pledges like a NASCAR racer chasing sponsorships. On the day of the event, each participant will challenge themselves to hot lap KT-22 as many times as possible from first chair to last on skinny skis, retro snowboards, mono-skis, snow blades, etc. Nostalgic ski attire is encouraged. Must raise $150 to participate.

Beacon & Eggs
Where: Palisades Tahoe
When: Sunday, March 31st
Avalanche beacons will be buried in a one-acre area and competitors will work individually or in teams of up to four people to locate them. Competitors can redeem a found beacon for prizes from the supporters below. Prizes include gift certificates, gear and a 24/25 Palisades Tahoe season pass. More Information
Sugar Bowl Easter Keg & Golden Egg Hunt
Where: Sugar Bowl Resort
When: Saturday, March 31st, 9am
Head to Sugar Bowl for the annual Easter Keg & Golden Egg Hunt this Easter! You could win a season pass or a free keg! For the adults-only challenge, find the Easter Keg stashed somewhere on the slopes (don’t worry, it’s empty!) and they will trade you for a gift card, valid for a real keg. WinterWonderGrass Tahoe
Where: Palisades Tahoe
When: April 5th – 7th
Head to majestic Lake Tahoe for the 8th year of WinterWonderGrass California! Mark your calendars (and prep your lift tickets) for the free Thursday Kickoff Show, at the base of Palisades Ski Resort in the Plaza, followed by a weekend of music, brews, and mountains with bluegrass and Americana favorites. Inside the venue, you will find an open-air outdoor mainstage, three side stages (which are heated and covered), plus daily beer, whiskey, and spiked seltzer complimentary tastings for those 21 and over, from 3-5 pm. Tahoe Donner Downhill Dummy Contest
Where: Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort
When: April 7th, 4:15pm
Join us on Sunday, April 7, for the annual end-of-season bash! Enjoy food and beverage specials, a bounce house, live music from DJ Funksalot and the annual Downhill Dummy event. Teams build unique dummies to send sliding down the hill and off a massive jump. This year’s theme is “superheroes.” Prizes will be awarded for best design, best air and best crash. More Information
Hot Dog The Movie’s 40th Anniversary Celebration
Where: Olympic Valley Events Center

Don’t miss this joyous celebration with the cast of characters that helped create one of the best ski movies ever. Rudy, Squirrel, Kendo, Slasher, Banana Pants, Heinz, Deter and stunt skiers galore will partake in a panel discussion/Q&A, and then we will rejoice in a viewing of the movie. More Information
Sugar Bowl Tiki Pond Skim
Where: Sugar Bowl Resort
When: Saturday, April 27th | 9am
Head to Sugar Bowl for their closing weekend festivities! Whether you’re skimming the pond or observing from the sidelines, don’t miss the most legendary party of the season. They will have live music, a pop up tiki bar, and a snow beach viewing area to watch the action. More Information
Snow Golf
Where: Alpine Meadows

Snow Golf is back! Ditch the ski jacket for a collared shirt and khakis- Alpines’ Annual Snow Golf Tournament is back for its 38th year! As the only top-to-bottom snow golf course, this highly anticipated spring event is a unique way to spend a day on the slopes with friends and family. The nine-hole course starts at the top of Summit Express Chair and meanders its way down the mountain with the last holes bringing competitors back to the bottom of Alpine Bowl Chair. Dates TBD!
Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Celebration
Where: Palisades Tahoe
When: April 20th, 11am – 5pm
The largest Earth Day celebrations in the area, this free community event takes place in the Village at Palisades Tahoe and gives kids and adults the opportunity to learn about recycling, composting, alternative energy, and sustainability through hands-on activities the whole family can enjoy. Check out children’s activities and brain teasers hosted by The Discovery. Plus, don’t miss hours of free live music by local bands. More Information
