There is a lot going on around the region during this festive time of year, see our comprehensive list below of the top North Lake Tahoe holiday events and mark your calendars accordingly!

Downtown Holiday Festival and Bud Fish Tree Lighting

Where: Downtown Truckee
When: Friday, Nov 22nd
Celebrate the Holidays in Historic Downtown Truckee! Enjoy a festive kick-off to the holidays with tree decorating, hot cocoa, holiday songs, photos with Santa and much more! The night culminates in the lighting of the traditional Bud Fish Tree Lighting Ceremony in remembrance of this beloved Truckee community member. 

Magical Memories at the Resort at Everline Resort

Where: Everline Resort 
When: November 29th | 3:30 – 7:30pm
Step into a winter wonderland featuring a life-sized gingerbread village, dazzling ice-skating performances, horse sled riding, fireworks and Santa’s grand arrival. Whether you’re capturing magical moments, snowshoeing through snowy trails, or gliding across the ice, Everline Resort & Spa is where your holiday dreams come to life! More information

Welcome to Winter Celebration

Where: The Village at Palisades Tahoe
When: Saturday, Nov 30th | 12:30 – 5:30pm
Celebrate the beginning of Winter in The Village at Palisades Tahoe on Saturday, November 30th. Enjoy a full afternoon of exciting events and activities that will be great for all ages. Don’t miss the unveiling of Forged, an art installation that is a tribute to our mountain community and legacy of excellence in sport.  There will also be live music by the Blues Monsters, a raffle, an Alpenhorns performance and the Tree Lighting Ceremony! Light Up The Night

Where: The Lodge at Tahoe Donner
When: November 30th |  | 5:30 – 6:30pm
Welcome to winter with the magic and merriment of Light Up the Night. Join your neighbors and friends for Tahoe Donner’s annual tree lighting ceremony, featuring a kids craft station, hot cocoa, beer and wine, holiday inspired cocktails, a very special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus and more!  More Information

Farmers + Makers Holiday Block Party

Where: Truckee Tahoe Airport’s Nonprofit Row
When: December 12th, 4:30 – 8:30pm
Head to the Holiday Block Party to find unique holiday gifts for the special folks in your life. For the fourth consecutive year, local nonprofits Sierra Community House, Truckee Roundhouse, and Tahoe Food Hub are collaborating to host this festive holiday shopping extravaganza. The free, family-friendly event blends holiday fun with organic produce, specialty foods, over 25 local makers, activities for kids, live music, two bars, and Mogrog Rotisserie and Moutain Lotus food trucks, where attendees can meet local makers, growers, and, of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus (brought to you by the Truckee Chamber of Commerce!).
